Book analysis

Using already existing children's stories, we analysed the forms and conventions in which made it a success. The book I chose was "Horrid Henry" by Francesca Simon. It is a collection of 4 stories about a boy, named horrid Henry, who was not very nice to anyone and was extremely selfish. The humour in the book and the simplistic plot and language made it readable for all ages. The text size is large and pictures either take up a full page or break up the text. This suggests the age group which it is initially aimed at does not want to read large amounts of text. I will interpret this into my project.
